Who Am I?

I’m a husband and father working in Healthcare IT as a consultant. I have more than 15 years of experience working in the IT industry and was simply born with an absolute passion for technology. I also love music and drumming.

I started One-Tech Mind to write about what matters most to me as a technology enthusiast. Ever since I was old enough to type, my Dad has told me I’ve had a one-track mind. It seemed only fitting to name my site after this adage. On here, you’ll read my caringly-crafted views on the latest technology-related issues, gadgets, and in-depth analysis. In other words, things I find worthy of my time and by extension, yours. While I focus primarily on Apple, you’ll find a little bit of everything here.

All comments, views, and opinions expressed on One-Tech Mind are strictly my own.

The Daily Byte Podcast

The official podcast of One-Tech Mind is The Daily Byte. This is a 5-10 minute weekday show where I talk about anything top of mind in the world of technology. Often times, this includes news of the day, rumors, speculation, and of course — rants. You can subscribe directly in the Anchor app by visiting the prior link, or on Apple Podcasts.

I love engaging with folks on Twitter, but you can also send me an old-fashioned email if that’s your thing.

One of my earliest memories is running DOS commands on my Dad’s original 8086 computer. I must have been four years old, and my Dad wrote a couple batch files for me to easily launch Mickey’s Runaway Zoo and Donald’s Alphabet Chase. Since then, technology has become my career and ultimate passion.

My Dad taught me everything I know up until the smartphone age. He taught me how to reformat in DOS, install Windows 3.11, Windows 95 from 25+ floppy disks, build and fix endless amounts of computers, and so many other aspects of computing. He and my Mom have always been so supportive of me, and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.

You know you’ve found your passion when you can talk, read, think, eat, drink, breathe it, and still come back for more. Humans are problem solvers; masters of technology and science. Everything from the simple tools and weapons created by our ancient ancestors, to the brilliance, beauty, and perfection of the wheel is a crowning achievement in humanity. Technology at its core is about all the right things: fun, making lives easier, efficient, safer, and brighter. Every day, I wake up enthused about what the world’s great minds are striving towards. Join me as we venture into this wonderful world of technology together.
